Oman to take part in FINA meeting

The Omani Swimming Federation will participate in the General Assembly of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) in Gwangju, Republic of South Korea, on Friday, 19 July.

Mumtaz bin Faqir Al Balushi, Board Member, and the Treasurer will represent the Omani Swimming Federation at the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting includes a number of important subjects and topics related to water sports, including presenting the administrative report, the activities that took place during the last period, the plans of the Federation for the next phase, and discussion of the financial report of the last period and the new financial plan of the body.

It will also discuss the proposals and amendments to the statutes of the International Swimming Federation. The meeting of the General Assembly of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) is part of the World Swimming Championships held in South Korea.

It is hoped that the meeting will result in making recommendations and decisions for the sport of swimming in the world to develop this sport and spread it on a wider level in all parts of the world and encourage swimming at all levels.
