Arrest made in hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian

A hit-and-run suspect who killed a pedestrian near Qurum traffic lights was arrested, Royal Oman Police (ROP) informed on Tuesday.

Police said it received the information about a severely injured person after being hit by a car. “The driver escaped the scene while the victim died of his injuries,” ROP said.

“The accused confessed to the crime upon his arrest,” the police added.
