Watch Partial Lunar Eclipse at KOM Today
Astronomy Pioneer Projects, a company which is incubated at the National Business Centre (NBC), will organise on Monday an event in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) to observe the partial lunar eclipse visible in sultanate and many other countries.
Issam al Salhi, executive director of Astronomy Pioneer Projects, said that the sub-shadow eclipse will begin at 7.50pm when the Moon’s light will dim slightly, but will be difficult to observe with the naked eye until the Moon enters the Earth’s shadow at 9.22pm.
The Moon will stay in this area until 11.18pm.
The end of the eclipse will be at 12.50am.
Salhi added planets Jupiter and Saturn too will be observed.
