ROP busts drug trafficking ring in Oman
Five people involved in an international drug trafficking ring were arrested for possession of Khat, the Royal Oman Police announced.
In an online statement, the police said: "The Department of Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police arrested five accused of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and abuse and for their association with international gangs in two different cases."
"More than 2,800 packets of Khat were seized that was in their possession. Legal action has been taken against them," the police added.
