ROP arrests six for theft in Oman
Six people have been arrested on charges of theft in Muscat, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
Four of the arrested had broken into as many as seven houses and stolen cash and valuables before they were caught by the police.
A statement by the ROP read: "Police Command in Muscat has arrested four people accused of stealing cash and golden accessories from seven houses after breaking their doors and windows."
Additionally, in another case, two female domestic employees were arrested for using their positions to commit theft.
"The ROP has also arrested two female expats for stealing gold accessories and cash from the houses in which they worked," the statement added.
