Ramadan working hours announced in Oman
Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower has issued a decision to reduce working hours in Ramadan for the private sector.
According to the decree, Muslim employees will now work for only six hours a day, 30 hours a week.
According to the statement by the Ministry, “Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a ministerial decree to reduce working hours during the holy month of Ramadan in companies, institutions and private sector facilities for Muslims. [Muslim employees will now work] six hours a day at a rate of 30 hours per week.
"All employees of the private sector take this blessed occasion to convey to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said the warmest congratulations and best wishes for His Majesty and that God preserve and provide him with good health, happiness and long life."
