Plan to watch a movie in Oman during Ramadan? Here’s what you need to know
Muscat: Theatres in Oman will stay open during the Holy Month of Ramadan this year.
While shows at City Cinema outlets in Oman will begin as early as 11 am during Ramadan, most of their last screenings for the day are scheduled for or around 11:15 pm or 11:30 pm, allowing people to rest and prepare for next day’s fasting.
At Vox Cinemas, Oman’s other cinema operator, the day’s first shows are scheduled for 10 am.
Since this year’s Ramadan also coincides with summer holidayst in the country, both Vox and City Cinema have scheduled several shows at noon, with some movies set to screen at 11:45 am.
The move to screen movies in Oman during the mornings and early afternoons, is in accordance with the operating rules followed by theatres in the Sultanate during Ramadan last year.
