Parts of Oman may witness rainfall on the first day of Eid
There is a chance of rainfall in the Al Hajar mountains and surrounding areas on Monday evening, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) said.
On Sunday, heavy rainfall in parts of North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah and the Al Dhahirah led to the overflowing of wadis.
According to PACA’s weather forecast for Monday, the weather will be cloudy over coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and adjacent mountains with slight drizzle and generally clear weather over the rest of the Sultanate with flow high and medium clouds.
"The possibility of cumulative clouds and varying heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorm sometime accompanied by active downwinds over the Hajar mountains and desert areas during the afternoon and evening,” the forecast stated.
Temperatures in Muscat Governorate are 30 degrees and in Salalah 24 degrees and the highest temperature on Monday will be 46 degrees in Marmul and lowest will be 18 degrees in Jabal Shams and Jabal Samhan.
