Pakistan’s Envoy calls on Chairman Majlis Shura Oman

Pakistan's Ambassador to Oman, HE Ali Javed, called on HE Sheikh Khalid Al Mawaali, Hon’ble Chairman Majlis Shura (Lower House) of Oman yesterday.

Conveying a personal message from his Pakistani counterpart, HE Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly, the Ambassador accorded a comprehensive briefing on trajectory of bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

According a traditionally warm welcome to the Envoy and while fondly recalling his past interactions with Pakistani counterparts at international parliamentary forums, Sheikh Mawaali conveyed best wishes to the Parliament and People of Pakistan.

Pakistan's Ambassador recalled that HE Dr. Mandheri, Chairman State Council was accorded a red-carpet welcome in Islamabad in January 2017 whereas his counterpart Hon’ble Sanjrani witnessed Oman National Day ‘Military Parade’ in the presence of His Majesty in November 2018, both occasions a first in their parliamentary history.

HE Mawaali gifted world renowned “Frankincense’ from the hills of Southern Oman whereas the Ambassador presented a ‘Salt Lamp’ of Himalayan Pink Rock Salt, from the low hanging hills of central Pakistan.

The hour-long meeting concluded with both dignitaries praising ‘commonalities of vision between their leaderships and reaffirming their commitment to meet the aspirations of both nations through shared values and vision of ‘peace for prosperity’.
