Oman Rated as a Top Holiday Destination

The Sultanate of Oman is rated as one and only choice destination in the whole Middle East  along with 18 holiday hotspots (international)as ‘must see’ destinations in 2018 by the British Airways (BA) as a major boost to the tourism industry of Oman.

Thanks to Oman’s natural beauty and heritage of architecture, the country is set to become one of the planet’s top travel destinations in the coming year as predicted by the BA.

As per the Ministry of Tourism(MoT) annual report,more than 3 million tourists were attracted to the country last year  while there was a 16.2 per cent growth rate in the country’s tourism sector. Till the last year end, visitors from the GCC, Britain, Germany, India and Pakistan had been the major countries who contributed to the country’s tourism sector.

In the words of the Managing Director of the British Airways Holidays, if tourists wish to discover the ancient roots of the Arabian culture, the Oman’s capital city Muscat is the right place. It has the perfect blend of modernity and tradition with opulent resorts and modern malls beside the medieval palaces, bazaars and forts.

In the opinion of the Airline, the Muttrah Souq which is one of the oldest markets in the Sultanate is one of the must go places in Oman to explore. This the place where Muscat comes to life with the cloud like appearance of incense, gold jewellery which glitters and Omani artefacts that are precious. To lose themselves in sounds, smells and colours easily this is the perfect place to wander for visitors.

Finally the airline has also included the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque as one of the greatest place to visit in Oman.
