Oman invites bids for developing Seeb fishery harbour
Oman's Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MoAF) has invited bids for developing the Seeb fishery harbour and boat collection centres in Seeb, Muscat.
The documents are available for a fee of 3,000 Omani riyals ($7802) until 24 October 2019, according to an Oman Tender Board notice. Bid submission closes on 23 December 2019 and priced bids are to be opened on 27 February 2020.
The design-build contract would cover but would not be limited to breakwater, reclamation works, berthing pontoons and access gangways, beach nourishment and protection, and other associated civil infrastructure and onshore facilities, the notice said.
It said the works are grouped in three sections. First is works within the fishery harbour; second is works for the boat collection centres; and third, works related to investment within the harbour.
The bidders are required to bid separately for the three sections, the notice said. While the first section will be the main part of the works, the second and third sections are optional, and the Ministry may or may not ask for those works to be executed.
The project value for Seeb Fishery harbour is estimated at 10-20 million Omani riyals ($26-52 million), according to an MoAF document issued in January 2019.
