Oman condemns terrorist attack in Iraq
Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the attack in Erbil, Iraq, which targeted Turkish Consulate employees in the city.
The attack on the Consulate, where three assailants opened fire against employees inside of a restaurant, led to the death of one envoy and an Iraqi citizen, leaving another person injured.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs read: "The Sultanate condemns the terrorist armed attack that targeted Turkish Consulate employees in the city of Erbil in Kurdish Iraq and led to the death of a Consulate employee and an Iraqi citizen, as well as injuring one other citizen.
"The Sultanate sends its sincere condolences to the governments of brotherly Iraq and friendly Turkey," the statement added.
