Oman bans passage for all non-Omanis, with the exception of GCC residents

Late on Thursday evening, Oman's Supreme Committee met at the nation's Ministry of Interior and chose to find a way to battle the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus including restricting the passage of all non-Omanis, with the exception of GCC residents, to the nation from Tuesday, March 17, for an inconclusive period.

— Ban on section of all non-Omanis to the sultanate's domains through all land, ocean and air terminals and checkpoints, aside from residents of GCC states. 

— Imposing isolate on all travelers showing up in the Sultanate through all land, ocean and air terminals and checkpoints, including Omanis. 

— Closing all parks and open play regions. 

— Suspending Friday supplications. 

— Stopping every get-together like wedding gatherings and memorial service functions. 

Preceding this most recent declaration, the sultanate had just given a request stopping the giving of visitor visas starting on Sunday, March 15. 

On March 14, the sultanate declared the suspension of studies at all instructive organizations for a month. 

On Sunday, Oman's Ministry of Health reported two more instance of the infection strain inside the nation. 

The most recent case incorporated a resident of the nation who had headed out to Italy. 

 

The quantity of coronavirus infectees remains at 22, of whom nine are said to have totally recouped.
