OCCI extends exemption period for payment of arrears

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has announced an extension of the exemption period for paying arrears of the Chamber’s membership renewal fees.

A statement issued online by the OCCI said, "The Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry approved the extension of the exemption from the Chamber's membership renewal fees for expired companies, which comes within the Chamber’s interest and our observance of the current circumstances that the private sector is going through and in response to the requests of a number of business owners and businesswomen in the governorates of the Sultanate. The terms of the extension are as follows:

1- 100 per cent exemption from paying late fees accumulated before January 1, 2019

2- Pay the renewal fees for the full year of 2019.

"The exemption period will continue until the end of work on Thursday, December 31, 2020," the statement added.
