Minor quake felt in Muscat
Muscat: A minor earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale hit the town of Bidbid, around 70 km from Muscat.
The earthquake was recorded by the Sultan Qaboos University’s earthquake monitoring centre at around 12.14 pm on Monday.
An official said, “However, no damages were recorded in Bidbid.”
The official added that the earthquake did not have any effect on any other part of Oman either.
A reading of 2.2 on the Richter scale is regarded as a minor tremor.
