Ministry denies rumors of landslide, road closure in Oman
No landslides have closed down the Hasik-Shwaimiyah road in the Governorate of Dhofar, according to the Ministry of Transport and Communication.
A statement by the Ministry read: "There is no truth to the rumour that a landslide has caused the closure of the Hasik-Shwaimiyah road in Dhofar."
According to the Ministry, people have been circulating images of an old landslide and saying that the road is currently closed.
"The image in circulation is old and the ministry had already dealt with the landslide when it first occurred.
