Minister of Health provides update on COVID-19 vaccine

The Minister of Health has confirmed that obtaining vaccines of COVID-19 depends on what is beyond international accreditation and to ensure their safety, Oman News Agency, (ONA) said.

A statement issued online by ONA said, ”His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Saidi, Minister of Health, confirmed that obtaining the vaccines of COVID-19, depends on beyond the international accreditation and to ensure their efficiency, safety and readiness for use.”

The statement completed, ”His Excellency confirmed also that the Sultanate is striving to communicate with approved international companies to obtain the vaccine of COVID-19 if available.”

“The Minister of Health stated in a special statement to the Oman News Agency that the Sultanate is in continuous coordination with the major companies involved and producing vaccines and that it will obtain the vaccine,” the statement added.
