1- The Ministry of Health has registered 778 new coronavirus cases in Oman on Thursday.
2- Minister of Health: 226 patients are admitted in hospitals; 58 in ICU.
3- Minister of Health: 606 cases were recovered in a single-day; there are now 3,451 recovered cases in Oman.
4- The increase in cases in the last period due to the examinations carried out by the Ministry and active surveillance due to the fact that the restriction in the last half of the month of Ramadan and the Eid holiday was not as it should, as well as due to the natural development of the disease at the global level.
5- Starting from Saturday, most areas of Muttrah will be opened.
6- Dr. Saif Al Abri: Cases are still high in Hamriya and Muttrah Souq area and thats why we have closed it. We will review this after two weeks.
7- Dr. Saif Al Abri: Permitted commercial activities can be opened from 7am to 9pm in Muttrah. Wadi Kabir commercial area will remain closed.
8- Minister of Regional Municipalities: The third phase to open more commercial activities and industries will be announced soon.
9- Minister of Health: 30 percent of patients in intensive care unit end up with kidney failure.
10- Minister of Health: Some countries changed recovery days from 8-10 days. In the Sultanate, the evaluation is still 14 days, and we will study changing the number of days, and you will probably notice a change in the recovery rate during the coming period.
11- Minister of Health: No complications were reported on Covid-19 patients who had hydroxychloroquine.
12- Dr. Feryal : 325 patients were given hydroxychlorine treatment for severe and moderate cases and there were positive results between moderate cases.
13- Dr. Saif Al Abri : In the next two weeks, we expect the number of inpatients in hospitals and in intensive care to increase because most cases are at homes now.
14- Dr. Saif Al Abri: As of June 1, most of the death cases were reported in Muscat Governorate; 78% of those who died had chronic illness.
15- Minister of Health: 186 health workers have tested positive. Most of them are through community transfer. They are our soldiers.
16- Minister of Health: 70% of cases in Muscat Governorate are of expats.
17- Dr. Saif Al Abri: Lack of awarness among expats in treating coronavirus poses a challenge.
18- Minister of Health: We have the ability to add 28 extra beds to intensive care in the Royal Hospital and will be sought to Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and the Armed Forces Hospital and the private sector if the need arises.
