Expat drowns in wadi in Oman, one other injured

One expat drowned and at least one other injured after two incidents were reported at Wadi Shab in Sur, Oman’s rescue agency announced on Friday.

According to a statement from the Public Authority for Civil Defence, the water rescue team had transported the body of the deceased from the site, while the second person was treated for minor injuries at Wadi Shab itself.

The statement read, "The water rescue team in South Sharqiyah transported the body of an Asian national who fell into the water in Wadi Shab in Wilayat Sur. The man had already passed away when the ambulance authorities received him. The authorities also treated another person in the same location for minor injuries."
