Earthquake reported 196 km from Khasab in Oman
Muscat: A mild earthquake — measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale — hit Arabian Gulf at 11:40 am on Tuesday morning, according to the seismological centre at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
The centre at SQU said that the epicentre was approximately 196 kilometres from Khasab, Musandam governorate.
On Monday, November 4th, 2019, an earthquake — measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale reported in Arabian Gulf at 4 am on Monday morning about 147 kilometers from Khasab , according to the seismological centre at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
