Deal signed on promotion formation of innovative companies

The Main Committee for Supervising the Innovation Programme at vocational colleges, colleges of technology and the vocational college of marine science held its first meeting for the year 2019 under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower.

The meeting saw the signing of the cooperation programme for founding innovative companies at the vocational colleges, colleges of technology and the vocational college of marine science.

The programme comprised the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for SMEs Development, Al Rafd Fund, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Industrial Innovation Centre.

The programme aimed to disseminate the culture of innovation and enhancement of the skills of the 4th industrial revolution for the college students through the innovation units and the joint cooperation for training of the most innovative among the students.

The meeting also saw a video presentation by the innovation centre on the cooperation mechanism required among all parties and the role each party plays in the programme to boost innovation.
