COVID-19: Cases reduce in Oman after closure enforced
A decrease in the number of novel coronavirus cases registered has been noticed since the inter-governorate closure was enforced, according to the Director General of Diseases Surveillance and Control from the Ministry of Health.
The prevention of movement within governorates, combined with the closure, has resulted in a drop in cases, Dr. Saif bin Salem Al Abri, Director General of Diseases Surveillance and Control, told Oman TV on Tuesday. "We are beginning to notice a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases registered and we hope that there will be a significant decrease by the end of the week and during the holidays. The number of cases is the criterion for evaluating the success of the movement prevention measures and the complete closure of travel between governorates.”
