Cinema halls to operate at 50 per cent capacity in Oman

Muscat: Cinema halls will operate at half of their capacity and the tickets will have to be booked online.

Cinema halls will reopen with a number of precautionary requirements in place, as announced by the Supreme Committee.

According to Muscat Municipality the  requirements include allocating two seats to persons and leaving two empty seats before the next person and leaving an empty row between each row. Commitment to sterilisation operations and a period of 15 minutes between each show to avoid congestion. All touch-based ticket-buying machines to be closed."

"With regard to customers, the municipality made it clear that customers must adhere to  precautionary standards and book tickets in advance electronically and avoid groups of more than four people as much as possible. They must notify authorities in the event that workers do not adhere to the controls," Muscat Municipality added.
