Bus with over 50 Omani passengers involved in accident
A bus carrying more than 50 Omani passengers was involved in an accident in the UAE and Abu Dhabi Police provided them with necessary assistance.
According to the Abu Dhabi police, the incident led to the bus breaking down, however no passengers were injured.
An online statement said, "Abu Dhabi Police provided support to 52 Umrah Pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman on their way back from KSA after their bus was hit by an iron roadblock on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road."
Colonel Mohammed Salem Al Shihi, Director of the Department of Traffic of External Areas at Abu Dhabi Police, said, "The Directorate immediately after receiving the communique, provided an appropriate place to host the Omanis and provide them with meals until the provision of alternative means of transport was made to take them home, in the spirit of humanitarian action."
