Application for permits to open mosques can be filed online in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA), has published a link to obtain a permit for opening mosques in the Sultanate.

A statement issued online said: "Pursuant to the decision of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, of opening mosques with a capacity of not less than 400 worshipers, the Ministry provides the link mara.gov.om/arabic/masajid_form.aspx"

"This link can be used to submit applications to obtain the opening permit, provided that the prescribed precautions are adhered to. A copy of the guidelines approved by the Ministry can also be obtained," the statement added.
