SAI participates in ASOSAI-WGEA meeting

The State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SAI) took part in the meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI).

The meeting, which was attended by member SAIs, was held through video conferencing from the headquarters of the Secretariat of the ASOSAI in Vietnam.

During the virtual meeting, the secretariat’s report on the progress of the working group projects was discussed along with the work plan of the ASOSAI-WGEA (2020-2022).

Member SAIs also discussed several projects, such as the cooperative environmental audit themed sustainable transport, the cooperative research project themed climate changes, in addition to the pilot project of 'online and face-to-face' themed training on the environmental audit.

Oman’s SAI is keen on positive and effective participation with the international community through benefiting from and contributing to the activities and programmes of the organisations specialising in audit fields and in which Oman’s SAI is a member. Such organisations are known for their significant role in exchanging knowledge and expertise, as well as building professional capabilities within SAIs worldwide.
