Oman’s grain imports cross 400,000 tons in first quarter of 2020
The Sultanate has received 94 per cent of all grain imports in the first quarter of this year through Omani ports from producing countries.
Grain imports through the Sultanate’s ports in the first quarter of 2020 exceeded 411,000 tons. These grains arrived from Russia, Argentina, Australia, India and Brazil.
Imports of vegetables and fruits in the first quarter of 2020 exceeded a total of 19,000 tons of which 90 per cent was handled through the Sohar Port.
