International Monetary Fund: Oman Economy to Grow by 3.7 Per Cent
For the Sultanate of Oman, the International Monetary Fund forecasts a real GDP growth of 3.7 per cent.
The deficit in the balance of payment of the sultanate would fall from the 2016 18.6 per cent to 14.3 per cent in 2018 as reported by the IMF forecast report on the outlook of the global economy for October 2017 as released in its website. The decline in balance of payment deficit as a percentage of GDP in 2015 to 13.2 per cent would be reduced further to 6.1 per cent in 2022 as IMF forecasts points out.
Finally, unlike the picture from the early previous year when the global economy was fumbling with fluctuating financial markets, the global economy is recovering at a faster pace .
