World’s first smartphone with massive 16,000mAh battery launched at MWC 2018

Avenir Mobiles, which holds the license of Energizer has launched three new smartphones at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

All three handsets, called the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro, Energizer Power Max P490S, and Energizer Hardcase H590S, come with a dual camera setup on both front and back and boast of an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Of three handsets, the Power Max P16K Pro has in a way stolen the show as it packs in a massive 16000mAh non-removable battery. In other specs, the handset features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with 1080x2160p resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25, coupled with 6GB RAM and also has 128GB internal storage. In the camera department, this handset has a 16MP and 13MP dual rear camera setup that offer Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and dual-tone dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup. In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and GPS/ A-GPS. It also has a fingerprint sensor and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Next up is the Power Max P490S, this device has a 4.95-inch FWVGA display with 480x854p resolution and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. Running on Android Oreo out-of-the-box, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 with 2GB RAM. There is 16GB on-board storage, along with microSD card support of up to 32GB. There is a 8MP+0.3MP rear camera setup and a 5MP+0.3MP front camera setup on the device. In terms of connectivity, the Power Max P490S offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.
Lastly, the Energizer Hardcase H590S sports a 5.9-inch full-HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on the top. Powered by an octa-core MediaTek P23 (MT6763) processor, this device too has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for its dual camera setups, the front houses 16MP primary module with a 0.3MP secondary module, whereas on the back there are 13MP and a 0.3MP dual cameras.
While the prices of these smartphones are not listed as of now, the availability of the Energizer Power Max P490S and Energizer Hardcase H590S is said to from Q2 2018. The company is also expected to bring their first smartphone to India soon.
