Barcelona Looking To Add Another Brazilian Star
Barcelona will be looking to add another Brazilian to their ranks after securing the services of Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho during the season. And that name is none other Chelsea winger Willian.
Willian is currently the longest-serving player at Stamford Bridge since arriving in London in 2013. A fan-favourite, the winger has been vital to the Blue' fortunes in recent years - helping them win the Premier League title in 2015 as well as last season.
The Brazilian has, however, seen his playing time drop considerably this season - starting only 13 games in the Premier League. This has in turn set into motion a number of rumours that the 29-year-old might have to seek greener pastures with Barcelona and Real Madrid looking likely to be two possible destinations.
Willian has recently admitted it would be his dream to join either Barcelona or Real.
“I think they are the two biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Barcelona. More visibility," he told Brazilian YouTube channel Resenha Delas.
“It's everyone’s dream to play for these clubs. Of course there are other great ones, like the one I play for, Chelsea, and PSG, other greats.
“But these two are different. These are two that everyone has the dream to play for."
While the Catalans look to be in queue to get the services of the former Shakhtar Donetsk man, their move could well be halted till the Blues find an able replacement. That's according to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital.
For the same, Antonio Conte seems to have set his eyes of Felipe Anderson from Lazio with reports suggesting that the Blues indeed had sent scouts to study the winger.
No bids were officially launched. However, it won't be a surprise if Chelsea pursuit Anderson's signature in the coming summer.
