Refugee toddler offers food to a journalist who came to take a picture of her

Have we reached the pedestal to call the current refugee crisis one of the worst humanitarian emergencies of our existence? I reckon we have. Refugees are now an essential part of our shared economy. It's a different thing that we don't deem them to be.

With thousands of people setting off on an endless voyage that's only taking them far away from their homes, there isn't much that can be said and done to keep them safe during the journey.

After this picture of a toddler who offered food to the journalist went viral on social media, many are questioning whether this is more of a test for us than refugees who are migrating. Maybe God has put us to test to see whether or not we help them, whether or not we lend our hands to those in trouble and pull them out of their misery.

Twitter user HumbledMedic shared a picture of a toddler sitting in a white and pink frock. The toddler who can be seen extending her hand and food isn't someone who gets to eat and feast every day - these people are living at the mercy of camps

A journalist came to take a picture and she offered him food, thinking he was hungry.

The most beautiful picture of humanity for a refugee girl.

Tonight when you break your fast, can I request you make a special dua for all those children out there suffering in the wars.

Yet, when the journalist approached her to take a picture, she offered him food.

The picture is a bitter-sweet depiction of how unadulterated minds function before people, surroundings, society plants the seeds of hatred and evil. Following the picture, many have replied on Twitter stating that they will keep her in their prayers or whether it is more of a test for us than it is for them.

May we be kinder to one another and not turn a blind eye to those in need. The children show us the way..I wish we would listen.

The war, which now seems to be an endless debacle sure to take our world down in flames is at its peak, killing many families on daily basis. Can we really do nothing?
