Most of us would have read about camels in school textbooks during your pre high school years and would be able to speak one or two words about them. But what about when we are questioned more on them. Naturally anyone would have to refer books or the internet to answer the same. They are part of the Arab culture and lifestyle to a great extent.
One of the major reasons behind the same would be due to the fact that you have not gone near them or would have seen them on television. Nevertheless, here are certain amazing facts about camels which you would have ignored until now:

Peaceful animals with less aggression: It might be a surprising fact for you to hear that camels are rarely aggressive in nature despite the rumours spread here and there that they would bite if you go near them which is actually not true only with the exception where the rutting males compete for females.
2. Roam around in groups: Most of us would have fumbled to recognise that camels are really social in nature as we would find them in groups only numbering up to a minimum of 30 individuals.

6. Thick Eyelashes to Protect Them: To protect their eyes and vision from desert storms and so on, the camels have the aid of their thick eyelashes. Similarly, they are able to keep of the dust from entering their body by closing their lips and nostrils during sandstorms.
