Tourist claims Dubai’s ruler helped get her car out of sand. Tweet is viral - View images

A woman’s tweet showing how Dubai’s ruler, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, rescued her family by pulling her vehicle out of sand has gone viral. The woman’s vehicle had gotten stuck in the sand and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid, who was passing by, noticed the stuck vehicle and immediately ordered his team to help the family.

The pictures were also tweeted by EremNews, an Arabic news site, on Saturday.

The pictures show Sheikh Mohammed's entourage towing the tourists' vehicle that had gone off the road and had got stuck in the sand. A report by Gulf News states that the Dubai ruler first noticed the stranded family and a Khaleej Times report adds that he later helped them with directions to the location they wanted to reach. 
“My friend and I got stuck on the desert of Dubai and we got rescued by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid,” the woman, Hanna Karen Arroyo, tweeted.

After the vehicle was pulled out, the ruler also gave the family some refreshments, the woman said in her tweet.
“Thanks to Simon and the man who sells pigeons and tried to help us and special thanks to HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid for being a righteous ruler of Dubai and for helping us and finally pulled us out from the sand and gave us a refreshment drink,” she tweeted.

The woman also tweeted a video of the ‘rescue operation’ which has now gone viral with many applauding the ruler. Watch the video here:

This is not the first time such His Highness Sheikh Mohammed helped those in need. Last year, a video of him rescuing a fully loaded lorry, which was stuck in the desert, had gone viral too. The Instagram video showed the ruler trying to pull out the lorry out of the sand with his Mercedes G series car.
