Young Qatari Man Thanks His Filipina Nanny for Taking Care of Him and His Siblings for Decades
Filipinos often seek job opportunities outside the country in hopes to earn enough money for their family who are left in the Philippines. Despite the possibility of experiencing abuse from their employers, many Filipinos continue to leave their own families just to make ends meet. Though we see dozens of OFWs suffering different kinds of abuses from their employers, there are Filipino workers in abroad who have met good employers who treat them like family. This was the case for yaya Zubaidah.
Filipinos are known to be friendly and hospitable, making them the perfect nannies for children abroad. With this at hand, yaya Zubaidah went to Qatar and worked for this young man’s family for decades. In a video that was uploaded onto the Facebook page named Qatar Living last Thursday, August 17, 2017, the young man thanks his yaya Zubaidah for taking care of him and his sibling for decades. The young man speaks in tagalog as he sent his heartfelt message to her.
According to the man, his grandmother first took yaya Zubaidah in. after his grandmother passed away, yaya Zubaidah was took in by his father.
The young Qatari said “Mahigit 20 taon nang isang mahalagang bahagi ng pamilya namin si Yaya Zubaidah simula pa noong ipinanganak ako. At hindi ko lubos maisip kung anong uri ng pagpapalaki ang mangyayari sa akin kung wala siya sa buhay ko.”
