This Woman Committed Suicide in Front of Her 2-Year-Old Daughter and Live-Streamed the Entire Thing on Facebook!

Facebook Live is one of the newest and most popular platforms to express oneself online nowadays. Aside from just the usual uploading of photos and videos on different social media platforms, Facebook live enables a netizen to live-stream his or her videos as well as receive real-time comments from those who are watching. However, there has been a growing trend recently of people committing suicide on the social media application.

Recently, a 21-year-old woman from Barangay Kamputhaw in Cebu City live-streamed her suicide attempt for the public to see. To make matters worse, she did the entire thing in front of her 2-year-old child.

According to Senior Supt. Joel Doria, director of the CCPO, the family of the victim did not report the incident immediately to the authorities. Despite this, the investigators felt the need to be involved with the case.

“We hope her parents will cooperate with us (even as) they early on appealed for privacy over the matter,” Doria said in an interview with Cebu Daily News.
