Jealous 16-Year-Old Husband Locked up His 71-Year-Old Bride so That Other Men Won’t Take Her

Most people say that age doesn’t matter when it comes to falling in love with another person. Although looked down upon by majority of society, some people still encourage individuals to have a relationship with someone way older or younger than them. But what if the couple consists of a minor and a senior citizen? Would people still allow it?

This is what happened in the bizarre relationship of a 16-year-old boy and a 71-year-old woman. Most people who knew them, particularly their families, did not support their plan to get married. However, they both threatened their families that they would kill themselves if they don’t get their approval. The odd couple became viral online then and are yet again making waves online for another strange reason. As it turns out, the teenage boy is jealous that his wife would be taken away by another guy. For this reason, he locked her up in their house.
 

At first, the newly wed couple were settling into their married life. However, 16-year-old Selamet felt jealous towards other men. Every day, he feared that his elderly wife Rohaya, who has been married twice in the past, will run off with a different guy.

According to a story published by Elite Readers, Selamet is so clingy towards his wife that he often skips going to the mosque every Friday to make sure that Rohaya stays at home with him. This poses a problem for the young boy since all Muslim men are required to attend the sacred gathering.

Rohaya said:

“I have reminded him to diligently pray. I told him to remember the village leader’s words. If it is Friday, then he must go to the mosque to fulfill his Friday prayers. He even invited me to go with him.”

Unfortunately, women are not allowed during this event which is why Rohaya must stay home.

Aside from locking her up, Selamet has also been going around telling people that he plans to have kids with his 71-year-old wife.

He said:

“I want my daughter to be named Putri Permata Sari and my son to be named Andre Maulana.”
