Emirates Allegedly Kicked Out Female Passenger From Flight For Having Period Pains

It's a well-known fact that menstrual cramps are not a party that goes on inside women's tummies. For some, period pains can be really bad to the point of rendering them immovable. So just imagine being in that much pain and being kicked off a plane because of that pain!

23-year-old Beth Evans and 26-year-old Josh Moran were about to take-off from Birmingham when they were forced to leave the flight on Saturday. The couple has blasted Emirates after a stewardess allegedly questioned Evans about her period pain and subsequently asked the duo to get off the flight.

Evans said that her pain was "one out of 10" and she was more than happy to continue her journey. But Emirates crew thought otherwise and decided that she would be better off taking a medical test before taking the seven-hour flight.

However, in the absence of a medical team, the crew asked the couple to de-board. The couple had no choice but to re-book a flight to Dubai, since there are no rules stating a refund to de-boarded passengers.

An Emirates spokesperson said, “The passenger alerted crew that she was suffering from discomfort and pain and mentioned she was feeling unwell. The captain made the decision to request medical support and offload Ms Evans so she could access medical assistance. We would not have wanted to endanger Ms Evans by delaying medical help had she worsened during the flight."

Ridiculous, isn't it? If you must throw a woman out of a plane, at least get her medical assistance. Or better still, medicines.
