Boyfriend of woman shot dead in Las Vegas was going to propose after the festival

The boyfriend of a woman who was tragically shot dead during the Las Vegas shooting has revealed that he had planned on proposing to her after the Route 91 Harvest festival.

Andrea Castilla was celebrating her 28th birthday during the country music festival with her boyfriend Derek Miller and her family.

Andrea was protecting her sister Anthea when she was hit in the head by a bullet and collapsed instantly.

Derek, along with Anthea’s boyfriend Shane, immediately carried Andrea to the highway and flagged down a motorist to get her to the hospital.

Sadly she died soon after arriving in hospital – just one of the 58 people who were killed during the massacre.

Shortly after hearing the news Derek confessed to Anthea that he was planning to propose to her sister right after the festival.
