Watch: Armed With Lathi, Haryana Woman Fights Off 5 Attackers To Save Her Husband

A woman, in Haryana's Yamuna Nagar, single-handedly takes on 5-6 men thrashing her husband. A video of the incident has gone viral

A cellphone video of a woman, fighting off five men armed with only a lathi, is doing the rounds in Haryana. Reports said the woman, a resident of Yamuna Nagar, was trying to save her husband.

The 20-second video opens with view of a man writhing on the ground as two men rain blows on him with sticks. Three others, similarly armed, stand around. Then the woman, brandishing a stick, rushes in. Dressed in an ordinary green salwar kameez, she attacks the men, twirling the stick like an expert, and carries on till they are on the run. The man on the ground lies still, apparently losing consciousness.

Though the reason of the fight is not clear, reports said it was a dispute over land. The woman's identity is not known, nor is it clear whether a police case has been filed.

In February, a similar video had surfaced which showed a gun-wielding woman coming to her husband's rescue. That video, which surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, showed a man being beaten up outside the house by a group. Hearing the commotion, a woman, armed with a gun, rushes out from the house. Seeing her, the attackers fled.

The woman was dubbed 'Revolver Rani' after the video created a buzz on the social media.
