Indonesian Street Therapists Use Heated Water Buffalo Horns for Cupping Treatment
Therapists claim it using these rare materials make the therapy more effective.
In many Asian countries, cupping and acupuncture are the most used forms of healing and therapy. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction.
People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
The cups may be made of glass, bamboo, earthenware, and silicone. However in Jakarta, Indonesia, practitioners of the said therapy use water buffalo horns instead of cups, claiming it has better healing components.
