Soon rumours of them being an ‘item’ started floating in the industry circles and the fact that they were starring in a movie together, only added fuel to fire. Later this ‘rumoured couple’ started making appearances together and media even spotted them leaving in the same car from events that they attended. And the way that the actor protected his co-star at the Raazi screening proved he was immensely fond of her and there was definitely something cooking between the two. And now we have a proof of how he is completely smitten by this talented actress.

While the grapevine is abuzz with the rumours of them being a couple, Alia refused it point black in her recent statement. When she was asked if these linkup rumours affected her or Ranbir, she said to Hindustan Times, “I haven’t asked Ranbir. I don’t know how he feels about those rumours. He won’t feel anything as he will be exactly like me (smiles). But there is nothing to feel. There’s no need to clarify or deny anything. He is a very good human being, and I am very fortunate to be around him at this point in my life.” So, in short, she neither accepted it, nor denied it!
