15 Young Stars Who Dont Ever Have To Audition Again
Once a star gets to a certain level of fame and familiarity, they move from having to audition for roles to having roles offered to them. Having said that, even actors at the very top level of fame have to audition sometimes, particularly for one of those monstrous roles or from something totally different from what they’ve done before. You know countless stars who are at this stage in their careers. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Gosling—stars like these don’t audition. If they do, it’s for a very specific reason. Do we even have to mention Meryl Streep? No. You know all the big names. You know all those actors who have been at the top for ages. Where’s the fun in naming them all again for you?
So, we won’t be doing that. Instead, we want to look at which new stars have reached this status. We can use the term A-list to make things easier. Essentially, that’s the list each of these stars have had their names placed on. For these newly-minted actors, auditions are a thing of the past. They’ve proven enough and have shown enough versatility that many even have roles written with them in mind. These are the new leaders of the industry. They are the actors who have proven themselves capable of carrying a film or a TV show all on their own. Here are 15 Stars Who Don’t Ever Have to Audition Again.
15. Alexander Skarsgard
True Blood fans will say that they knew Alexander Skarsgard was a star from day one. Truthfully, he was one of the best things about that hit show. After that, Skarsgard stumbled a bit. He took on some roles in underachieving films like Straw Dogs, Battleship, and more recently, The Legend of Tarzan. But over the next couple of years, Skarsgard is ready for his breakout. He was excellent as one of the leads in Big Little Lies, showing the darker side of his character capabilities. Now, he’s got two lead roles set up for two of the most highly anticipated upcoming films, Mute and Hold the Dark. It’s very possible that Skarsgard had to audition for one or both of those roles, but after 2018, that process will be a thing of the past.
14. Emilia Clarke
Even though we truly believe that Emilia Clarke is a wonderful actress, she makes it to this list because of her selling power. Yes, she’s been popular for a while playing Daenerys on Game of Thrones, one of the biggest shows in history, but Clarke has been branching out the past couple of years. She has been a household name for a while and one that draws audiences in, but she hasn’t flexed her muscle in film yet. We say that because her films have not done all that well. But, don’t confuse that as something of her own doing. She’s already landed incredibly iconic roles, such as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys, but she’s about to take on more. She’s recently been cast in the upcoming Han Solo film, which should be an indicator of just how highly the studios think of her. We expect big things to come from her in this film.
