Princess Diana – 36
1961 – 1997
While not an entertainment celebrity, British royal Princess Diana surpassed leading celebrities in fans and global stardom. She died in 1997 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Paris. Two others in the car were declared dead on impact.
Marilyn Monroe – 36
1926 – 1962
Monroe was a global icon of the 1950s and was found dead at her home in Los Angeles. A contemporary to legends such as Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, she was popularised as a sex symbol. Marilyn was reported to have died of a barbiturate overdose.
Robin Williams – 63
1951 – 2014
Robin Williams was legendary in Hollywood and his suicide in 2014 came as a shocker to all his fans and critics. He is credited with having propelled a comedic revolution in San Francisco in the 1970s. His lead roles in Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting and Flubber among others, are unforgettable and iconic. His ex-wife later revealed that he was battling depression and anxiety.
