7. Climb a mountain
There are no shortage of mountains here. Named the Grand Canyon of the Middle East, Jebel Shams offers some spectacular views. Looking over the peaks of Hajar, into the canyon and far into the distance at sunset is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Its highest point stands at 3009 m (9872 ft) high in its North Summit. Its second summit, the South Summit, is accessible for trekking via the W4 Trail.
8. Go camping
Whether you prefer camping in the desert, in the mountains or on a sandy beach, there’s a spot for you. Sometimes you just need to take a break from the city and pampered lifestyle and enjoy some good old nature.
